Main aims of privacy policy

The privacy policy concerns processing and protection of personal data of Users in connection with use of the website danwood-holding.pl (the “Site”), including subpages, administered by Danwood Holding S.A. with its registered office at ul. Sienna 39, 00-121 Warsaw, entered in the commercial register of the National Court Register by the Rzeszów District Court, 12th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under no. KRS 0000714252, share capital PLN 8,000,000, tax identification no. NIP 7010710801, statistical no. Regon 368076430 (“Danwood”).

The privacy policy contains rules in force on the Site for collection and use of data concerning Users submitted by them in order to use the Newsletter service conducted by Danwood.

Our overriding aim is to ensure Users of the Site privacy protection at a level at least as stringent as the standards set forth in applicable legal regulations, in particular the Electronic Services Act of 18 July 2002 (Journal of Laws Dz.U. 2002 no. 144 item 1204, as amended), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), and the Telecommunications Law of 16 July 2004 (Journal of Laws Dz.U. 2004 no. 171 item 1800, as amended).

The Site may contain links enabling Users to reach other websites directly from the Site. Danwood has no influence over the privacy and cookies policies applied by the administrators of such sites. We recommend that before using the resources offered by other websites, each User review the document concerning the privacy and cookies policy at such site, if available, or if not provided, to contact the administrator of the site to obtain information on that topic.

Rules for collection of personal data and information

1. During viewing of the Site contents by Users, information is automatically collected concerning use of the Site by Users as well as their IP addresses, based on an analysis of accessible logs, e.g. type of browser, date and time of views, number of connections, number of subpages of the Site opened, and the content viewed.
2. Upon opening the Site, the User will be asked whether he or she consents to accessing the User’s location. Consent is given by selecting the field “Access location.” If the User does not consent to accessing his or her location, the User should simply exit the inquiry popup. The User may also consent to accessing his or her location via the relevant settings of the web browser used to view the contents of the Site. The User may withdraw at any time permission to access the User’s location via the browser, by changing the browser settings so that the User is asked each time for permission to access the User’s location. We recommend reviewing the web browser’s “Help” section.
3. Merely viewing the contents of the Site does not require the User to provide personal data.
4. Use of certain functionalities of the Site may be preceded by a registration process, which may involve submission of personal data by the User. In such case, the User’s failure to provide personal data may limit the use of certain functionalities of the Site.
5. The Site includes a form for subscribing to the Newsletter service. Completion of the form involves submission of certain personal data by the User.

Scope of data and information collected and method of use

1. The User of the Site may be requested to provide personal data in the form of an email address. 
2. If the User has requested the electronic service of free delivery of Newsletters, the email address provided is added to the emailing list and used for transmission of the Newsletter to the User. Detailed rules for free delivery of Newsletters are set forth in the Newsletter Terms & Conditions.
3. The collected data are also used to establish the User’s profile and tailor the contents of the Site and the Newsletters to the User’s needs. Processing of such data is conducted in compliance with the Electronic Services Act of 18 July 2002 and the General Data Protection Regulation.
4. Information collected automatically is used for administration of the Site, identification of potential threats to security, analysis of user traffic on the Site, and statistical purposes, including with the use of Google Analytics, e.g. concerning the region from which the connection was made, the IP number, the date and time of the connection, the source and number of connections, the number of subpages of the Site visited, or personalization of the contents of subpages of the Site. This information is not linked in any way with the User’s personal data and is not used to determine the User’s identity. The scope of information collected automatically depends on the settings of the User’s web browser. The User should check the settings of his or her web browser to determine what information is provided automatically by the browser, or to modify the settings. To this end we recommend reviewing the “Help” section of the web browser. 
5. Pursuant to applicable law, we may be required by a competent state authority to disclose data, including the IP address of a User of the Site.

Rules for processing of personal data

1. Personal data are processed on the basis of consent of the User whose data are involved, and in instances in which Danwood, as the data controller, is authorized by provisions of law to process the User’s personal data.
2. The User’s consent to processing of his or her personal data is given by marking the field in question during the procedure intended to enable the User to use selected functionalities of the Site, e.g. in a registration form.
3. Danwood will not provide collected data to third parties except upon the prior express consent of the User whose data are involved, or if the obligation to provide the personal data arises under regulations of law.
4. Danwood, as the data controller, may entrust processing of personal data collected through the Site to another entity pursuant to a written agreement, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Users’ rights

1. The User has the right to access and rectify his or her data, to remove or limit processing of the data, to transfer the data, and to file a complaint with the supervisory authority. 
2. The User has a right to obtain information on whether and in what scope his or her personal data are processed, as well as information on the purpose and scope of processing of his or her personal data. 
3. The User may contact the Data Controller in the manner indicated in the “Contact” section below or directly contact the Data Protection Officer of the Danwood capital group, which includes Danwood, by email: iod@danwood-holding.pl
4. At any time, without stating any reason and without incurring any costs, the User may change the email address previously indicated to which the Newsletter is sent, or cancel the Newsletter service, by clicking on the “Newsletter” link at the bottom of each Newsletter, entering his or her email address in the appropriate field, and then clicking the “Unsubscribe” button.

Cookies

1. The Site uses cookies, i.e. small files of letters and numbers stored by the IT system in the User’s IT system (computer, telephone or other device of the User from which the connection is made to the Site) during viewing of the Site, enabling later identification of the User if the User connects to the Site again from the device (e.g. computer or telephone) on which the cookies are stored.
2. Cookies collect data concerning the User’s use of the Site, but their main aim is to facilitate the User’s use of the Site, tailor the Site to the needs and expectations of the specific User (personalization of subpages of the Site), and analyze user traffic on the Site.
3. On the Site we use Google AdWords cookies. Google AdWords uses the technology of text files located on your device to enable an assessment of the correctness and effectiveness of the advertising conducted using the AdWords network of services such as:

        b) Similar users,
        c) Other types of ads based on interests,
        d) Demographic steering and localization.
4. We use the following types of cookies:
        a) Session cookies, which gather information about the User’s activity and last only for the duration of the given session, which begins when the Site is opened and ends when the Site is closed,
        b) Persistent cookies, which are stored on the User’s IT device (computer, telephone or other device of the User from which the connection is made to the Site) and remain on the device for a longer time after the web browser is closed,
        c) Our cookies, placed by the Site, and cookies placed by third parties verified by Danwood, including Google Analytics cookies, used for analysis of Users’ activity on the Site for statistical purposes.

Rules for protection of privacy on third-party sites: 

1. Information constituting personal data of Users of the Site is not stored in cookies. Cookies are not used to determine the User’s identity.
2. Cookies are used on the Site with the User’s consent.

Security of personal data

The Site is protected by security measures designed to protect the personal data processed by Danwood against alteration, destruction, unauthorized access or disclosure, or loss, as well as processing in violation of regulations governing procedures for processing of personal data.
Only a limited number of people authorized by Danwood as the data controller have access to the processing of Users’ personal data.
